She was born June 3, 1924 in Charter Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Frieda (Riessen) Kunze. “Unie” married Arthur Buller in 1944. Mrs. Buller worked at Fosters Paint and Wallpaper in St. Charles for 17 years. She was a member of the American Legion Aux. #342, St. Charles Homemakers, Kane County Homemakers, Kane County AARP, and Women’s Club of St. Charles. Mrs. Buller was also a 20 year volunteer at the Delnor Hospital gift shop. She is survived by her children, Ardis L. (Richard) Black of Humble, TX. Judith E. (Robert) Knott of Geneva, Georgette L. (Jerry) Winchester of Aurora, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, 7 half brothers, Charles (Linda) Mennerick, Reginald (Mary) Mennerick, John Mennerick, James (Ruth) Mennerick, Lewis (Mehrangiz) Mennerick, Robert and Judean Kunze. Unie was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, whom she was married to for 62 years, her father and stepmother Otto and Viola Kunze, mother and stepfather Frieda and Charles Mennerick, sister Lavera Davis, and her brother Donald Kunze. Private funeral services were held, with burial at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia.
