Millard, age 78, of St. Charles, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. She was born March 3, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Carlyle and Cecelia (nee Pahalski) Roy. She was united in marriage to Edward Millard Jr. on July 23, 1952 in Huntington, Connecticut. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” to all the students at Wildrose Elementary School, where Reta worked as an attendant for many years. She is survived by her beloved husband, Edward Millard Jr.; her children, Toni Law, Ed Bryan (Dot) Millard, and Keith “KC” (AnnaMarie) Millard; a son-in-law, Roger Carlock; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Roy; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Reta is preceded in death by her daughter, Patti Lynn Carlock. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street in St. Charles. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the funeral home. Rev. Mark Larson will officiate. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin, IL.
